George Will is an excellent columnist for the Washington Post. I subscribe to his feed and read every column. He slams Virginia’s newly elected senator Jim Webb. And, as stated in the article, even a high school English teach would be dissappointed with the vernacular chosen by the senator. An exceprt from Webb’s WSJ article a week after being elected. It’s bad. Literally.
The most important — and unfortunately the least debated — issue in politics today is our society’s steady drift toward a class-based system, the likes of which we have not seen since the 19th century. America’s top tier has grown infinitely richer and more removed over the past 25 years. It is not unfair to say that they are literally living in a different country.
Ouch. How many bad was that? I found a few grammatical errors and word misuses. And Webb is not even sworn in yet. Oh yeah, did you hear about Webb’s misogynistic tendencies? Good job Virginia. Which is worse? Macaca versus Misogynist? I don’t know, but Virginia has certainly decided.
