The Tour started yesterday with the Prolouge time trial. Today is just a regular road race. They are going about 27 mph. I took my new bike. I was on a nice bike path, a gradual uphill for the first 15 miles, mostly shaded. Then I turned around and went back. I averaged about 17 mph. I can go 27 mph, only when going downhill. Plus, I didn’t have gusts of wind from the front or side. My God. The Tour riders are sweet.

Just a note. They are usually going faster. They were on a downhill going 50 mph. I’ve only hit 40 mph, which was somewhat harrowing, even if only for half a minute. Now, imagine that feeling while going down an entire mountain.
They make it look so easy.
I’m amused when I go down streets with 25 mph speed limits and keep pace with the cars next to me. Draws some priceless looks every so often.
You know how I know you’re gay. You find a bunch of French men wearing spandex, “sweet.”
