Two weeks ago today I finished St. Anthony’s Triathlon. The experience was awesome. And although I finished in 3:34:54, twenty minutes slower than I expected, I still had a blast. The swim was horrific at times, but that just makes the next triathlons I race that much easier. At least twenty minutes easier, if not more.
The entire weekend was packed full of stuff to do, between preparing, enjoying St. Petersburg, and having fun with new and old friends.
Though I didn’t take many photos before race, there are a plethora of photos available where you can see me partying like a rockstar with my TNT friends. What a solid group of regular people. And I mean regular people is the most endearing and complimentary way. These people are just like you and me, and did a pretty damn hard athletic event, most (myself included) without a speck of athletic ability unlike those of athletes like Michael Phelps, Michael Johnson, or Lance Armstrong. In addition to this adventure of a race, we raised over $240,000. That’s not an insignificant number. I raised $4,494.49, with generous support from many of you. It goes to show how regular people are amazing in so many way.
A letter will be coming in the next few weeks, after some pictures from the race arrive. Next year I will be competing in St. Anthony’s Triathlon again. Hopefully this next time will be as a team captain / mentor for Team In Training.

Very congrats! Better you than me.
