So it started happening sometime last week. My sense of time became permuted — I was a week off. For the past week, I’ve been thinking that it is next week. I sent out a birthday email today to someone whose birthday is November 30th, next Wednesday. I turned in a security document at work, the writing and revising of which has been my primary duty for the past month, today. It is due November 30th. I even hurried this week to get it in on time. I responded to a party invitation on December 1st stating I could not make it, because I will be in Philadelphia this Friday for Thanksgiving. I’m not sure how I became not a day off, but a whole week off. Instead of associating Thanksgiving with the third Thursday in November, I think I have associated it with the last week in November. This has become really, really annoying. And calendars don’t help — I just look at next week. Hopefully next week, my internal clock will reset itself correctly. Jeebus.
