Have you ever been so focused on an objective that you missed your overall goal? As I look back using hindsight, I see that everywhere, affecting everything from my happiness to my vocation to where I want to go today.

Brian, man, you are thinking WAY too hard on this life satisfaction shit. As always I have to say, as an American you are WAY better off than 90% of the world. To caveat that, let me just say no one in the history of the world but Jesus Christ is immortal… we will all meet our ends someday. Do you think Bill Gates is gonig to be able to use the hundreds of millions of dollars after he becomes fertilizer for the next generation? ALSO keep in mind (from my first hand experience) wealth and power cannot save you. Just be happy where you are, give back all you can, and leave it at that man. Any more questions on this can be forwarded to me via email.

As we say in the army… Don’t look back man. Grab your shit and move out to the next objective. No one can alter the past. We’re all human dude.

I agree with #2 Bill. This one time I really wanted this girl, it’s all I thought about. I was discussing this with a coworker and touting off line after line of creating opportunity jargon. She decided to point something out to me which to this day is the greatest thing I have ever heard.

She said, “How many opportunities did you pass up for this one.” It turns out her hot best friend had a crush on me that already came and went, but that’s beside the point.
