A lot of stuff has happened recently. To begin, I know where I am going to be this summer. I have accepted an internship position with User Technology Associates, Inc. They pay extremely well, provide fantastic housing, and are located in the Washington D.C. metro area (housing near a metro stop). It should be a great summer. My sister and her boyfriend have law internships in D.C. this summer, my uncle lives in the area, and finally, D.C. is a fun place to live–music, shows, and lots of people. :-D

This past weekend, I turned 21. I had a blast. I began at BW3’s with two of my brothers, Dave Christensen and Dave Odle. We were watching the UK basketball game. With a few seconds left, midnight struck and Christensen and I headed to the bar. After the bouncers checked my ID and wished me a happy birthday, I ordered a bottle of Moosehead. While waiting for my beer, Dave asks the bartender if there are any birthday specials. Upon hearing this, a gentlemen at the bar inquires to whether it is my birthday and buys my beer and a shot of Three Wise Men (as chosen by the patrons at the bar). A little later, Dave Odle comes to the bar and buys me a high-quality shot of bourbon. Those were the only drinks I had Friday night. Saturday night rolls around and after watching some basketball, Jake and Emily arrive. We head out to The Deuce to see the guys and drink some beer. We then went to The Verve, where a fairly good band was playing and we each had lemon martini. Those are quite good. We then proceeded to The Terminal, where Steen and Cyril kept me loaded with drinks. Jake, Cyril, Steen, and I all sang some karoke (Friends in Low Places and Glycerine). Afterwards, Jake, Cyril, Emily, Amy and I headed over to Willy Jack’s. It was lame. Maybe it was a bad night, but it wasn’t too entertaining. When I arrived home, I was quite drunk. Could still carry on a conversation, but stumbling a bit. I immediately went to bed when I realized that I might need to use the bathroom. Sure enough I did. Then I slept very soundly for the rest of the night.

On a different note, I just finished creating a document that contains the eulogies and obituary of my late grandfather, Harry Kiefer. If you would like to learn more about my grandfather, you can find the document here.
