There are less than a handful of people in this world that have truly, genuinely, and sincerely cared for me. Today, one of those people died. My grandfather, Harry Kiefer or Pop, who just turned 87 years old on 2/18/2002 died at home at roughly 9:15 am. On Monday night, he slipped into a coma and fortunetly, came out of it and returned to a peaceful sleep, without pain or agitation. This is all after the past few months of being a regular in the hospital with pneumonia and internal bleeding. It saddens me that he is gone and that there is one less person in the world who cares for me. But what I regret is that more people, specifically myself, did not have the chance to know him better, for he is an amazing person who has accomplished more in his life professionally and in the home than I can imagine. I will truly miss Pop.
