everything looks perfect from far away

I figure not many people read my poetry, so I’m going to post a poem here. Tell me how you like it:

You

Quietly sitting, waiting,
The day long and uneventful,
Waiting for something to happen,
Someone to appear

Worried while waiting,
Thinking of the worst,
Worried that something might have happened,
Worried that someone was hurt

A light breaks the dark,
The waiting has ended,
Someone has arrived,
Safely
Day turning to night,
The day is no longer,
The night more exciting than the day,
Bringing rapture and passion

The night ends,
And all is over,
But the passion and rapture continue
Because I’m with you
